70th Anniversary Celebrations

In 2015, CFUW Nanaimo celebrated 70 years of community service.  Several commemorations occurred, including:

The City of Nanaimo proclaimed July 5 to 11 as “Canadian Federation of University Women Nanaimo Week”. Read the full proclamation here.

On July 11, 2015, 70th Anniversary celebrations were held at Bowen Park. Many thanks to Sino Naimo News hosts Swan and Lloyd MacIlquham of CHLY 101.7 for dedicating their July 17th program to CFUW Nanaimo, and for sharing their recording of the celebrations. Thanks also to Matthew Webb for editing the recordings so we can provide the following excerpts.
